Taking a Photograph to Send Me
In the top example to the right, the eyes cannot be seen clearly and the background takes up too much of the photograph.
In the bottom photo to the right, you can see the face and eyes are clear. This will make drawing the portrait a lot easier.
Here are some tips for photographing your pet:
- Use a high resolution setting on your camera. Never take the picture on your mobile phone unless it's got a very high number of pixels
- Make sure the eyes can be seen clearly in the photograph
- Ignore the background, as I can exclude it
- Use toys or treats to get the animals attention. This will help to make sure the animal has a lively, interested expression
- Try to get down to eye level with your pet
- Make sure the subject's face fills the viewfinder
- Take as many photographs as possible
