About Me
I have always had a deep interest in drawing and painting since I was a child. Several years ago I began to experiment with using coloured pencils. I soon fell in love with their soft effect and huge range of colours.
A friend asked if I would draw his new Border Collie puppy. I enjoyed the process so much I began to draw as many of my friends' pets as possible. They were all clearly delighted with the results and more commissions soon followed. I decided it was now time to expand my much loved hobby. This web-site was created in the hope that it would give other animal lovers an opportunity to own a unique portrait of a much loved pet.
Each commission I receive provides me with a new and exciting challenge. Coloured pencils need to be carefully blended to create the rich tones and realistic effect of fur. It has often been remarked that the eyes of my portraits are so life-like, almost seeming to glow. This is achieved with many layers of colour, burning and a great deal of patience and attention to detail.
