This is a model of the Hythe station on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway.

It is modelled in 12mm / foot scale on 16.5mm gauge track to represent the 15" gauge prototype.

The original line was built in 1926 by Captain J E P Howey and runs from Hythe to Dungeness, a distance of just over 13 miles. The line from Hythe to New Romney is double tracked.

The station is modelled in its post 1974 condition and the rolling stock are examples of post war vehicles, all of which still exists.
