Our model shows a private garden on the day it is open to the public under the 'Yellow Book' National Gardens Scheme.  It is built to 1:32 scale (3/8 inch to 1 foot) and makes wide use of Britain's 'Floral Garden' series.  This was originally produced in lead in the 1950's, but our display is from the plastic age of the 1960's.  Sadly, the range is no longer produced, although we sometimes find bits and pieces to add to our collection.  To populate the garden, we have added to the original 'Floral Garden' figures, with some extra people added from other Britain's and Airfix 1:32 ranges.

The railway is 5/8inch gauge, which we use to represent an 18inch Gauge line.  Although this is over scale, it allows the use of readily available track and points.  The locomotives have scratch-built bodies, whilst the stock has cast resin bodies, but all use Hornby '00' chassis.

A second (non working) railway uses 3/8" gauge track to represent a 10 1/4inch line.
