| Llantaliog
Valley - Mike Riley The Llantaliog Valley Railway is a series of
linked dioramas, the three base-boards depicting a
station and a street scene, open farmland, and a slate
quarry.
Llantaliog Valley is a
fictional Welsh narrow gauge line, originally built as
a horse tramway in 1843 to serve the local slate
industry. It was converted to locomotive haulage in
1874 and began passenger services a year later.
Always impoverished, its
locomotives and rolling stock have been acquired
second-hand from various sources, both home and overseas.
The trackwork is Peco, the
buildings are a mixture of kit and scratch built, as are
the locomotives and rolling stock.
