Set somewhere in the Snowdonia Mountains and between the two Great Wars, this layout depicts an area dedicated to slate mining and hill farming. The village is a focal point for the quarry and its workforce as well as being a staging post for farmers sending stock to and from markets. It is also a trading point for suppliers to the quarry and nearby hamlets who ship their goods in from the large towns down the line.
