This layout sets out to portray the narrow gauge scene in Germany (East & West) in the late 1960's, when a mixture of steam locomotives and diesel locomotives and railcars was quite common.

The scale of HOe (1.87) and the 9mm track gauge represents a prototype gauge of 750mm (approximately 2 feet 6 inches). The locomotives and rolling stock are all models of prototypes which ran on German narrow gauge railways.

The track and pointwork is by Bemo. The rolling stock is from Bemo and Technomodell. The locomotives are produced by Bemo, GK Moedllbau, Glockner, Kehl, Liliput, Merker & Fischer, Panier, PMT and Weinert.
