| Clinton
Valley - Dave Greenwood At exhibitions, people come to me on my
"Show You How" stand and say "I would like
layout but do not have enough room".
So, this is a minimum
space layout on an ironong board from my local tip - it
is just a 3 ft 8 inches long by 13 and a half inches
wide.
It's Christmas Eve 1899
and it's been snowing heavily. The Clinton Valley
Railway is having to fight to keep going as people throng
into town for the festivities. It is one big party with
the market, bioscope (travelling cinema), round stalls,
Punch and Judy, a dancing bear and a gypsy fortune
teller. There is Lady Jane Bower getting her ball gown
ready and Miss Jones posting a letter to a boyfriend who
is fighting the Boers in South Africa.
